Sounds intriguing, but I think my Spanish will have to improve to appreciate it. :icon_sad:

    The "Decider"

OK, Gringa, yours was the deciding vote!

Is there a way I could listen to a little of this on my computer, at home, just to get a taste of Molotov, for example?

Head over to youtube V, do a search for the bands and you'll find lots of good stuff. You might want to check out their wikipedia pages to see what their "hits" are then peruse all that youtube has to offer. There are some "adult" themes in some of the songs, just a heads up! ("Guacala que Rico" is naughty, but it makes me laugh just the same).

Looove Molotov. Sometimes they come to Cancun or Playa del Carmen and give concerts. I listened to their music a lot my first year of college here, and my classmates enjoyed explaining the lyrics to me. Taught me a lot about Mexican culture, that's for sure.

My fave is Me Vale Vergara, even though I have no real opinions on futbol. I'm just proud that I get the pun!

Why all the hatin' on norteƱo music? That's good stuff! Sometimes I'll blast it in the car while I'm in the States. And sing along. Not ashamed to admit it.

Any fans of La Arrolladora Banda El Limon?

Sacbe is a great jazz group. Heard them at a Jazz Festival one time and have a couple of their CD's

Brian McNight, Phil Perry and Caro Montes will be at the Jazz Festival, May 29 at Playa Mamitas. Montes is from Monterrey but I have not heard her music. This is a good time if you can find parking, don't mind walking, and you could end up standing a lot.

I will go with Luis Miguel and Pedro Infante (I get to listen to him a lot when I am with my 85 year old grandmother-in-law). Mana also. Can I also put a vote in for Selena?
