I highly recommend a free phone app called "Songza".

It's commercial-free streaming music, but they have a staff of so-called "music experts" who put together playlists based on different activities, like "Working Out", or "Driving", or "Doing Housework".

For example, in the category "Working Out", there are further sub-categories for Pop, Electronic, Indie, Rap, Rock, Metal, etc...

Each playlist is about 60 minutes long.

Usually depends on how I feel and can go anywhere between rock (SOAD, Disturbed) to Hip hop and dance but for my 12 week workout prior to TTR its definitely music that reminds me of TTR. Thanks to Chrisandtata I found the Pandora's Pitbull station is quite similar to TTRs/Cancun playlist.

My favorite working out playlist consists of Skinny Puppy, Chemlab, KMFDM, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Pigface, Agonize, Front 242, Dawn of Ashes...

I use a playlist but my thoughts of "Good God, I'm dying!" usually drown it out.

Me too! We can compare notes between now and Dec if you like. Music works a LOT better. I lost 42lb over 6 months a couple of years ago, doing a diet and working out to music. I've been struggling for a while now, and reason is I'm not getting weighed every week by someone else - when I was in a diet club it was the fear that a stranger would know that I wasn't losing weight that week that was the problem!

Maybe I should just post my weight here every week and then there's the fear that people know when I'm not trying! :blueshock:

I can't listen to anything when I'm lifting. But when I do cardio I have to have my ipod or Pandora on or else I just feel like a hamster on a wheel and get bored really easy. But give me some Danko Jones playlist or Pandora and I'll go all day!!
