well, Yes the Orange CCC helps recognising people, as the pics are usually taken from a distance and with wet hair and no make-up, most tend to be unrecognisable. During my last trip, we had customed made T-shirt (from vistaprint) with our screen name & put them on the back of the lounge chairs, others put their names on their cups/bubba thingy(lol). Also if you do put on your message, please come and say hello, then we know we are not interfering and welcome for a chat! Well I have all of the above, and please don't be shy and say hello if I don't recognise you!
Couldn't agree more.......its a little intimidating being on the outside of a group.......So much more fun being part of that group and adding to it.
That's the exact right approach. Coming in October for our third time. Haven't met a stranger yet. Wish we were gonna be there when y'all are.
We've seen bead style necklaces, dog tags, and the like for names. Our group does dogtags with your name on them. It's a great icebreaker and the chain often leaves them hanging down in the ladies' cleavage giving us a perfect opportunity and excuse to take a nice long look! The bracelet idea is a good one, we just prefer to have someone's name on display too. Nick (and the semi-anonymous Kitty)tm
I still remember people recognising me on our first trip...before I even knew what the forum was about! Turns out my wife Trish's profile pic is one of the pair of us, so I kept getting strangers coming up to me saying "Hey, you're married to Trish aren't you?" or "hey, you're the AC/DC guy with Trish" (hence the profile name!). I was a bit dubious at first (mainly 'cause I didn't know what kind of pictures Trish had been posting!) but it certainly made for great times and meant we got to party with some truly amazing people!
