A few thoughts on wine from our perspective. Honestly we are dry red drinkers at home (think Justin cab or McManis cab as a baseline). You can get a house red at all of the restaurants and the bars other than the pool bar. This includes the buffet and a Mexican lunch spot. I don’t recommend getting wine at night at Bash as you don’t want to be bumped and ruin someone’s outfit but they will serve it. The house red is rather flavorless but is fine if you lower your standards. If you are premier you can get the Cabernet which passes for palatable and we were drinking it all week without complaint. There is a wine list available at the Italian, Asian, and Seafoos restaurant (and maybe Flame steakhouse but I never checked). Expect prices that are in the states like 3x US retail. It was disappointing as it used to be a deal to get a good bottle of wine but no longer. They have no problem with BYOB so if you have particular tastes bring 1 or 2 bottles for a nice night out or for your room and lower your standards to the US $6-10 bottle level for the rest of your stay.
Thanks Boy & Girl! I think we will stop at duty free and get a few bottles for our stash. Might just be the honey to bring the bees around for a good party!
Boy and Girl are pretty much on. We are wine makers and brought our own last time to a wine tasting, folks loved it and were happy to try something good. I drank the Merlot as I thought the Cab wasn't great, but that's why there a lot of wines out there. Their wine prices are way to high, I can get a better bottle at a restaurant in the US for less, seems backwards especially for their Mex wines. I like trying area Mex wines when in Mex but not for more than US wines.
