We have used express check in and when we arrived at the hotel they acted as if they didn't know what I was talking about. But, with that being said, we were still able to get the room we requested as we liked our room so much the first time we wanted it again. We had to wait a little while because it wasn't ready yet, we arrived before 11am. No worries, went to the sexy pool and I don't even remember going to our room the first night (or should I say afternoon) We are headed back for trip #3 and have requested the same room again and I will try express check in and when we get there once again before 11am I hope we can have our room and I also hope I make it past 3pm!!!!! P.S. I don't want anyone to think Joe is the lightweight so I must confess the sun on my boobies and meeting up with our TTR friends got me overexcited and therefore overindulged!!!! Oh dear, you guys are making me worried. I'm coming in April, checking in on a Monday at 10:30 p.m., after what I expect will be a big turnover on the weekend. It would be a disaster if I was bumped, as I am travelling single occupancy. It does seem like bumping is not uncommon at the resort. ...although I guess I'd be okay as long as my two (male) buddies from Calgary get a room that I could camp out in...that might be interesting lol...
While it does happen the odds of being bumped are low. It's not something you can really avoid if luck isn't in your favour. If they do bump you at least make sure they give you something to make it worth your while.
Thanks...this really wasn't an issue I had ever thought about before this thread was posted. Would be fun to check out Desire, but it's couples-only so they won't send me there.
I show up on the 20th, if there are desk issues we can be a poser couple to see how the married half lives lol
ha ha...until you arrive I can bounce from single dude's room to single dude's room. Gee, maybe getting bumped from my room isn't the worst thing that could happen to me! :clappyinghappy: Seriously tho, I wouldn't have a clue what alternative hotel to choose if I can't get a TTR room. Anyone know what the choices are if you get punted from TTR? (besides Desire) What's best for singles? I'm sure this is all an academic exercise, but I like to plan for contingencies. :azzangel:
We just got back and we got bumped but the good thing is we got a room the next day by quite pool, a couples massage and free wifi for the week....another cpl got 3 days and 2 nights at TTR free for there next visit....so depends if you can get a cheap flight than I would take the 3 days and 2 nights but from Canada it is better with the massages and free upgrade and wifi since it is hard to do short visits....so totally up to you but for the one night at a 5 star plume they taxied us at night from other resort to Temptation and back...why not
Deal if you guys get bumped your with us and visa versa I am not staying anywhere else! Not for anything!
for the ppl that have been bumped have you figured out a common cause (besides the obvious of the resort being overbooked) was it a certain day of the week, arrival time? i could probably handle a day getting bumped to desire if they gave us a bunch of free stuff but any more then that id probably have to kick someone in the vagina (figure of speech)
