Weather does have me a little worried. It rained all day when we were there in Jan. Wasnt a lot to do, but there were still people on the pool! I guess you just never know!
We went last November (2nd thru 6th) and had a great time. Resort about 3/4 full, felt like around the sexy pool, lots going on and activites energized as normal, reading hilarious. Contrasted with this past February, November was more energitic than February. Crowd in February when we went was a bit more "stolid," which makes a difference, of course. Crowd actually a littlle older in November, if you were wondering. Average upper 30s to low 40s, maybe?
Thats great to hear! I was a little worried about it being too quiet. We have been in Jan and Feb and had a blast! The little older won't bother us!
Hopefully for us late November will be a fantastic time to go! If it rains...well, it rained sideways one day we were there in January this year, and we still had a great time in the pool. If it rains like that again for the whole day, or days, well we have numerous games we can play (we bring with us, not TTR endorsed) such as the dice game, Trish's 'get to know you' game, and adult pass the parcel this year!
Dice Game: Dice game involves players sitting in a circle, two dice and a sand timer. Give dice to two players opposite each other, and turn the sand timer over. The players throw their die until they throw a two or a six. When they get one of those numbers, they pass the die on to the player on their left, who now has to throw the die until they get a two or six, pass it on to player on their left, and so on. If a person ends up with both dice at the same time, the round ends and they have to drink a shot. If the sand timer runs out, two players left holding the dice have to throw again, and person with the lowest number takes the shot. Game starts up again, with players on the left of those who started the last game throwing first. Can get quite exciting when the other die is catching up with you and you're struggling to throw a six or two. My 'Get to Know You' game: I invented this game a few years ago. We were at a festival, sitting around a camp fire with lots of new people we didn't know. I started asking random questions for people to answer to 'get to know' everyone better (e.g. favourite things, least favourite things, unusual experiences etc). It worked well, but had no format or structure, so next festival I went to, I prepared. I wrote down a ton of questions on cards, and invented forfeits (also down on cards) for when people couldn't (or refused) to answer a question. These involved things like 'take a shot', 'wear your underwear on your head until your next go', 'draw kitty whiskers on your face' and such like. I think I'll tailor the questions and forfeits again before introducing this game at TTR (don't want to be kicked out for nudity!). Adult pass-the-parcel: My next trip I'm celebrating my birthday too, and to mark the occassion, I'm thinking of an 'adult' version of pass-the-parcel. The 'parcel' will be two bikini tops, passed around a group sitting in a circle. Person holding one designated 'parcel' when music is stopped has to take a shot, or give or receive a body shot. Other person holding the other parcel is out. The circle will get smaller and smaller with each go, leaving just two (at this point removing the 'out' parcel). Winner is person left holding the parcel, who has hopefully had to do lots of forfeits to gain their title!
Well we're booked from November 24 thru December 1, so what will be will be... as long as there's alcohol, food, and good times, what more can we ask for? We hope to meet lots of people from all over and party! Yeah baby! lol :icon_mrgreen: :aktion030:
