    Hoping it means slower speeds for media files... No idea otherwise.

    I assume they don't want everyone streaming and bogging the speed down.

    That makes sense. We don't plan on watching YouTube or Netflix while there, so we're good!

    It's not just Mexico. I have Platinum rewards with Marriott, and their "enhanced" high speed wifi is trash in a lot of hotels even expensive newer ones. I'm glad the WiFi is improved. It really wasn't worth the money you had to pay for it pre-remodel. It's nice to get away from everything in MX, but it's also hard to be completely away for a week.

    Our room was good, the pools were good, the lobby is iffy and the sports bar is really iffy.

    Agreed. A long time ago, I gave up the idea of being completely away from it all for a week. I relax a lot better just "touching base" through email a couple of times a day.
