It's ok, better when it's free though. If you have a spare GSM phone, not your verizon one. that happened to already be carrier unlocked and is good for wifi tethering then that is the ideal. It's pretty cheap and works well, you can buy the sim's on ebay or from a few places pre-activated so you just add the credits on and send a txt to turn on the data when you are there. But since you'll be there in 2 days you're outta luck. The wifi will be way cheaper than what verizon wants to rape you for. It is tied to a single device which is kinda annoying but works decently well. There are a few places where it's less than awesome or doesn't work, but they have most of the place covered.

HUH????? I have an AT&T Note 3 that I really don't want to bring with me. I can see that sucker now going for a swim and there goes a few hundred dollars down the drain. I have an old Blackberry that I'm considering taking with me, but..... it's so freaking old that I can't even load Worldmate (to get flight updates) on it. I was thinking of getting a cheap GoPhone from either Walmart or Target. Facebook/email/Twitter/etc. can wait a few days till we are back. But, we need to stay in touch with people back here (especially the dog sitter). :)
I was going to forward hubby's phone to my phone so we would only have to put one Mexico data/text package on one phone.

    What's a good solution?

What do you need wifi for, there's plenty of free porn in the pool. Or so we've read on Trip Advisor. :angel1:
