Other than mandatory orgy night there really isn't anything you should be concerned about. Just kidding, the resort is laid out in such a way you can be as relaxed or as wild as you want to. If she wants to hang out by the pool and read a book all day, the quiet pool does that quite well. If she wants to do lots of shots, dance and party like a rockstar she can do that too. She will have a great time of that I am sure!
Everyone that has posted on here are right on target. It is a smart move to read up on your vacation choices ahead of time. One thing you will notice, the people that posted negative comments on trip advisor have not posted on cancuncare. No the resort isn't perfect, but what is perfect? If her biggest concern is swingers, then she should not worry. The people that go, and especially the repeaters, respect NO for an answer. Whether its to go topless, participate in the games, the theme night or to join others in "private" activities, that choice is always up to you. The people you will meet there will seem like friends you have had forever. I for one have made some terrific friends over the years and keep in touch even when we aren't on holiday together. Have her read this forum and ask questions. She will get all the answers she is lookingfor. i will bet Within hours of being at TTR you will more than likely be ready to book your second trip and become a TTR repeater. You have made a great choice for your vacation destination!
Swingers I'm sorry to say that most of us at Temptations eventually do take a ride on the swing and become Swingers Relax and enjoy
I had similar worries before we booked our first trip. We were going on holiday with another couple and two of their friends, and one of them suggested Temptation as a good choice. I looked at trip reports (not this site) and TTR's own website, and had some serious doubts about the place. Rest assured it is nothing like those reports! Once you read CCC you realise the other side of the place. Service fantastic, food fabulous and entertainment is perfect. It is an incredibly romantic place and plenty of opportunity to really relax and make a vacation for yourself and your significant other, but also so much fun and great place to party when you want to. Don't worry about the swinging - it's not a swinging resort, and to be honest it rarely comes up in conversation when you're there. I'm sure if you're into that lifestyle you could find it if you wanted but other than that it's not even worth mentioning!
I have said it before and I will say it again. You know what kills Temptations? The name. People, logically, jump to all sorts of conclusions based on the name. I don't even share the name anymore after 2 of the first people I shared it with then referenced that horrible fox show from years ago, Temptation island. Ugh, I wish they would change the name.
Don't be concerned. This is our 3rd trip to Temptation and we are not swingers. We enjoy the party and having fun with adults without screaming kids running around. We love kids and have 3 of our own, but we are on vacation to get away from that! I was a little nervous the first time we were going for our honeymoon and I was pleasantly surprised. There are swingers who are there, but everyone we have encountered are respectful and no one has ever made us uncomfortable. We have met great friends who we still travel with. Your vacation is what you make it. You will see some boundaries being pushed by some people, but they are pushing it with others of like mind. If that isn't your thing than don't participate, but don't judge anyone else. Just sit back and enjoy your time and meet the many amazing people who go to Temptations for some laughs, drinks in the sun and spending time with your significant other, and new friends!
I think the whole "swingers" thing reported on Trip Advisor is mainly reported by people who don't have a clue who or what swingers are. We have been asked countless times, directly, if we are "swingers" "lifestyle" etc. Presumably because round the pool we sport little more than a bit of dental floss and a smile, and at night if the mood is right, I can be seen wearing some pretty raunchy outfits that would never see the light of day at home. Does this mean that we want to go wife swapping or whatever? NO! People (non TTR) are often too quick to judge a book by it's (sexy!) cover. :daisy:
RnJ great first timer report! We are going to TTR in 17 days for the first time and it is good to read the reports posted on here before going. Yes I have read reports about TTR on Trip adviser and other sites as well some were bad reports but the good reports out weighed the bad ones. If you one was to go by only the bad reports written then no one would ever go there after one is written. I was a bit nervous myself about the atmosphere at the resort (we are not swingers ourselves although hubby could walk around naked all day in front anyone lol) when we first booked just before Christmas. But not anymore getting really excited about our trip, checked the posts on theme nights, January Roll, Boob cruise, the pre-talk lol and made some online friends to get acquainted with them before we actually meet in person. Everyone we have met on here is very welcoming and friendly from newbies like ourselves to the experts. These things alone have helped change the nervousness about the resort. It would be nice if every place that you were going to visit would have some sort of forum like this so that you get the real insight on the place you wish to vacation. Personally I think that we are gonna have a great time for the mere fact that we will finally be alone with just each other for an entire week without his cell phone going off, without the pressures of everyday life, no kids (I love them to death but you all know what I mean). Once a year is our time....the added bonus is that we will be in the sun with warmer temps and get meet some nice people at the same time. In the end it is all what you make of your vacation
mmmmm Being realistic,, yes there are plenty of swingers there, as there are at other hotels, if you look. ,, also loads who dont,, loads who like to dip their toes in, and thoes who just like to take in the sexy atmostphere of the place .. If you go in to a bar you dont try every drink in the place ( ok some of you might ) No ones gonna try it on ,, if anyone pestered you ,,sercurity would deal with it imeadiatly. Just relax its a fantastic place for adults from all walks of life. even the very naughty ones ...
