In our experience, once a visit, there tends to be some sort of physicality. Usually it's something that is broken up or dissolved very quickly. In fact, I can only remember one time where Security got involved. I wouldn't let this particular incident cause you to rule out a visit to the happiest place on Earth.

Now I have to worry that my plane will crash on the way to TTR, and while I'm recovering from the crash, laying on the gurney out by the sexy pool, with a topless nurse providing me my 100% proof medicinal purposes only alcohol, that some drunk guy is going to try to whip my butt! What to do? What to do!?!? :huh: LOL Just go, have fun, and don't worry about it. If you wind up being a victim and part of that .0002%, just walk or swim away as fast as you can to security, let them handle it.
I can only surmise what "the previous thread" was about, but maybe the FU TTR one about the assault and the debates on that.... As you might be able to tell from the thread, that's avery rare occurrence, with a very unique situation, and a lot of very bad luck and a couple bad choices.... sort of a Murphy's law explosion of negative karmic influence. TTR is 99.99% awesome, so go down, have a great time, and laught aobut it at Ingram's expense. He's a grown up, and the resort will have some karma come back and get them. Hey! Everyone laughed at me when I fell off the sunshelf into one of the hottubs and nearly killed myself. Including me, so there.
Go. Have a good time. We are only getting one side of the story here and I can tell you my husband and I have never had the slightest problem at TTR. Yes, there is the occasional single jack a$$ but for the most part everyone is super friendly. Keep an open mind and you will have a blast.
Although this is a VERY nasty experience to say the least in the scope it is very isolated and not only at this resort. First trip ever to Cancun resulted in a young couple who decided to rent a car. Pulled over by police $$$$. Bottom line is it is a third world country. You should always look at any situation differently than if you were home. It is VERY safe and you will both have an unbelievable time
Guys you'll regret not going cuz this really is the most amazing place to vacation. We've been going in June for 4 years now and we will be there from the 10th thru the 22nd. This group really does watch for each other. We have closer friends that we see every June than we now have at home. This kind of stuff would happen at a night club at home way more often than it will happen at TTR. With what our girls wear both around the pool and at Patios at night, I would have a real problem leaving her side back home. At TTR, I really don't need to worry as one of us is always around. You guys live near us, and with the weather hitting -30 celcius tonight, we should be doing nothing but looking forward to this trip. We will see you guys in June. We have been to Cancun 5 times and hands down TTR is the best you don't need to leave the resort. Other places we stayed we were bored and left on excursions TTR if you leave its just for a Boobs Cruise and thats it. The most entertaining resort in Cancun.
You guys nailed it. It's weird to say out loud (or typed, I guess) but we feel safer at the resort than any bar/club at home. You'll be surrounded by friends that look out for each other. 'Nuff said.
One of the benefits of ccc is you have strength in party people numbers.!! You can leave the bar for a moment knowing that your wife is not alone. Make lots of friends before you leave and you will not only be safer, but your good time index goes through the roof! CHEERS! !
