I wouldn't worry about it. That was a very atypical story. On the rare chance you have trouble with a drunk person, just inform the bartender or security. They will take care of it quickly.
I wouldn't worry about any problems like the one in the ongoing post. In fact, that problem probably helped everyone else, and you're likely safer now than ever from this kind of stuff happening again for a VERY long time. The resort definitely does not want this type of situation again and will likely be hyper vigilant in making sure it doesn't get to that point.
Stop worrying. Just be ready to have fun. You are making it stressful and taking the excitement away from a vacation. Chill
My husband and I had our first trip to TTR in January and didn't witness any violence or aggressive behavior. I'd say just relax and enjoy your time with the June Junkies
Don't worry. Sometimes these forums are like the news media, the most extreme cases and events get the most attention. How often do you listen to the news to hear "In today's headlines. Man wakes up, enjoys a great breakfast after his morning workout. To which he then headed to work and put in a full day and returned happily to his family that evening to see his wife and kids" Read the trip reviews on here from the countless people that had the time of their lives. Go ask the 95 people that were on the Boobs Cruise yesterday if they wish they would have stayed home instead of going to TTR. We are returning for our 5th trip in May with many other repeaters.
The shenanigans that have been talked about recently were really unfortunate for a lot of reasons. They were also way outside the norm at Temptation...We've never seen anything remotely like that in our trips - but I have seen things like that at local bars and festivals in our quiet town. Temptation is full of people in a really relaxed state of mind, and you're more likely to see bad behavior at an airport on your way to Temptation than you will once you arrive. I feel completely safe at Temptation, as does Jamie.
It's kind of like anywhere else...............if you go looking for trouble......you're going to find it.........and in Mexico if you go looking for trouble you're going to find the sort of consequences discussed by the OP! We had friend rent a car down there to do some site seeing. They got pulled over.......for speeding (they weren't). The ticket ended up costing them a couple K. Just be careful.
The past few days 2 threads have been a little out of the norm with 1 CCC member being a bait & switch kinda character with less than positive post and making remarks towards and against regular members here. Don't take any of it to heart as I'm sure there have been more people reading the the post and not wanting to reply and get involved. You and your wife will have a awesome time there which is why the resort has so many repeat clients and also because of this forum for getting advice and being updated from real people who were there. Here is the link for the reviews of people stay there, hope you enjoy reading them and yes you should go. Temptation Cancun Reviews Forum | Cancuncare Forum
Apprehensive Leslie, remove any concerns you've built up, the resorts safe and a lot safer then being out in Ibiza or Faliraki (and there pretty safe anyway). This was an isolated incident, can happen anywhere in the world. Were on our 3rd visit this year (that's 35 days/nights at TTR), that would not happen if it was unsafe, believe me. Go, loose your inhibitions, you'll have a ball, meet some great people and wonder why you ever doubted it. If you need more assurance just P.M. us. P & V p.s. Les, just pay the balance :typing:
