Couldn't agree more! We found Blue Bay Getaway in 2004 and this will be our 7th time back this April. We've been to other resorts in Cancun and there is no place like TTR. We do lots of fun stuff here at home but TTR is something we look forward to more than anything!

Ya, Sam is the Cute one!! Sorry Robin.. lol

Great Post. I for one like the fact that I can come and have one hell of a time and meet great people like both of you.. and so many others on each trip. And with the people you meet you feel like everyone is watching out for everyone.

I would agree 100% with this, its so true.
Our first trip last year was amazing and were on track this year.

Lenni is the one that sticks out in my mind the most, after the man did not get any sleep he took me under his wing and showed me the whole hotel at 6am.
There are many others that we met, and will see a few of them again this year, but we overlapped week 7 to expand our horizions too! The place is so fantastic.

Yeah we saw roaches, Yeah some of the food is not up to my standards but you know what, its all good I can always find stuff to do, things to eat and have a good time why?
    THE PEOPLE!

I cant wait to meet you guys, drink, do whip cream shots off each others bodies, just have a general good time, play some tequila janga, hang out and relax, party our a$$es off. Adult shanagins, discuss anything we want any time from sex to politics to sports all in the same afternoon!

Each and every one of you bring something special to my vacation and I cant wait to experience it again!

Our first trip was in August and we had a great time, but it was probably more of a hint of what TTR is like rather than the type of experience it sounds like we'll have when we return in April.

As far as what we like is concerned, our room is where we sleep, clean up, and... well... We don't spend a lot of time there so we don't really need anything other than a clean place with a decent bed that has functioning electrical outlets, hot and cold running water, with a fridge, where we can keep our stuff. We have that at TTR. Mind you, we like nice things and we have nice things, but if its ALL about the room, we'll pass. We also like the fact that everyone who feels like it can wear swimsuits and dresses that would be scandalous anywhere else. We like the fact that we can wear Lingerie and assorted bedroom attire to the bar to party with friends who are similarly attired. We like the staff. The foods better than okay. Know it sounds goofy, but we don't mind running the timeshare gauntlet. Sort of gets the adrenalin flowing...

totally agree with you on that one...recreating the vibe and atmosphere anything close to TTR is going to take years not a few months..One thing we love about TTR is how small it is with zero elevators and everything so close..it makes it where you see and talk to everybody all the time..with the other big hotel with all of its elevators and 3 mile walks to get from your room to the beach and restarants you might meet somebody one day and not see them again all week..and for us a room is a room, its to sleep, sexy time and shower.. We also LOVE TTR and cant wait for week 8 in a couple months

    Thank you!

We've stayed at the Four Seasons & the Ritz Carlton on 5th & Park, dined in the nicest restruants in NYC, Chicago & SF. We leave that behind and come to TTR to party with FUN people!

We've come to Cancun 3 times, wished we would have learned about it years prior but make the most out of every trip. Letting our hair down and not worrying about our image or being concerned about what others think, because hey, no one knows you and no one give a shit, is priceless.

We get to make new friends & great memories every trip. We always find ourselves doing something fun, this last time we kayaked to a sand bar to just get away from the pool for a bit and let our livers rest.

Our rooms have always been great, they fixed our bathroom shower door within an hour of us complaining of it being sticky. Our rooms have always been clean & neat & well stocked. We asked for extra lotion & body soap- we got 6 bottles. Extra towels because there were 3 of us, here, have 8.

Drinks not strong enough - they are doing it for your own health as they don't want to see you passed out by 6pm - so many people miss the night time fun because they are passed out from going too hard during the day.

Alcohol is not watered down, we watch them crack the seals - they just don't pour much in the 10-12oz cups and the ice waters it down quick. You want a stiff drink just ask! We get glasses of Orange Vodka on ice - filled to the top and then mix our own Red Bull orange vodkas in separate glasses at our table at night around Paty'Os. Don't want the super-cheap well alcohol, just call the better stuff like Bacardi or Smirnoff.

We will say - for what we have paid in the past, it was a great value for the money. For the current rate of $225+ a night its a bit hard to swallow. The highest we've ever paid was $165 a night in April and we're fine with that. I suppose thats why we became Premier members, great value and even better service & amenities which make our trip even that much better. The Member special they ran this fall of buy 6-nights get the 7th free was great!

The resort needs to make improvements but its hard to do when its running at capacity for 40 of the 52 weeks a year. The amount of painting they were doing in October was tremendous - this was paint that had not been touched in quite a few years. The new Premier deck & Premier bar which added extra seating to the pool was very nice and much needed. The new Paddle Boards are a nice touch too. New entertainment games have been added as well, Beer Olympics was new for this last trip and the staff do a great job of having fun and putting the creepers in there place. New tile flooring at Paty O's too.

We're intrigued by the GOV - but then again, seeing the photos of the pool + club/bars and then imagining a sold out week with 750 people (350 couples + 50 singles = 400 rooms) on that property and forced into using the elevators sounds interesting.

We will see everybody for our 4th trip to Cancun TTR on April 25th or May 2nd.
