Hi all :aktion069:, I've been lurking for the past couple of days trying to pick up as much info as possible. Myself and 3 buddies (all guys 25-27, one of is not single poor guy) all from Bonnie Scotland :flagscottland: are looking at Cancun for next March after being indoctrinated into the "spring break!! wooooooo!" scenes in all the films and tv shows lol. We've looked at either 11th to 25th or 18th to 1st. We're looking to make the most of it party-wise (if that makes sense? lol). I've seen a few mentions of the guy to girl ratios being poor during peak spring break times, and there being a lot of meathead creeps during the peaks. What are your learned thoughts on this? What would you say would be the best time over the above period to go to ensure we can make the most of busy hotels and clubs but also not risk getting roofied by horny jocks in error? We've been looking at the Barcelo Costa, as it seems nice has decent reviews and isn't a million miles away from the party zone. Thought we'd dodge the Oasis and Crystal places as they'll prob be rammed with fellas (altho am I right in thinking I can get day passes to hang out at bars and events there?). Do any of you regs know this place? Cheers lads and lassies. Any thoughts, help, corrections would be much appreciated If you're really lucky and happen to be in Cancun while we're there, we'll bring some haggis over and cook up some haggis empanadas!!
The problem is that you and your buddies are not the only ones who decides to go to Cancun after seeing the scenes from films and tv shows. The ratio coming from America/Canada is not too bad but groups coming from other countries are always all dudes because not too many girls are going to travel 5000+ thousand miles in hope to get laid. So imagine 1000 groups of non American/Canadian lads and their buddies all going to Cancun on Spring Break. What do you think that does to the ratio during peak week. Unfortunately I don't think there is much anyone can do about this anymore at this point.
I really hope Krystal isn't as bad in 2012 as everybody says it was for this year. I'm going with 3 (female)friends and as much as we enjoy meeting lots of guys, I also don't feel like getting harassed 24/7 while we're there lol
