While searching do it in private browsing. We have used several different sites from orbitz, cheap tickets, alpharooms. Which ever gives the best price.
We used Expedia last year and again for our September trip. All inclusive package with airfair and transfers included. Shopped around both times...best rates...hassle free
Alpharooms the last two years, booked flights seperately for direct or better flight times, arrive early to TTR, leave late on last day, hate losing a day or two off your vacation because of shitty flight times.
Although we haven't been to TTR yet (hopefully this September) we have had good luck booking other trips with cheapcaribian.com. They have always been cheapest anywhere we have gone and they also offer split payments.
I think it is almost always where you are flying from. Orbitz the last several years has been the best for us. They bought out Expedia, or vice versa. Cheap tickets is related to them. One year booking alpha rooms and airfare was the least expensive. Anyway, we are looking for late September, into October. Still looking, lol.
Cheap tickets. It's cheapes I found and even cheaper when you put in promo code. Used to use cheap Caribbean but these past 2 trips cheap tickets was about $100 a person cheaper.
I always check many sites, and I've never found a better deal than what Orbitz gives. Last time I called while booking, and they gave me $150, and I didn't have a coupon. Not sure why it is, but they are the best for us.
We look for the best rate with all of them. First year we went through Travelocity, last year was Expedia and this year Orbitz. This year was the cheapest we have paid yet.
We search several sights and Orbits is the one we used this year. Only complaint is: booked this year and then two weeks later found it $125 cheaper per person. Filled out their low price guarantee and they emailed back saying it didn't count for packages only hotel's/flights only. Still a good deal $2400 total or 9 nights including air fare.
I always use a agent (jeff Jenks - a consolidator) in the USA. I travel to the Philippines twice a year , and he has always found good prices and gives great advise. Been using him for close to a decade .... plus, if there is a problem while U are on the road , it is nice to have someone to call to help solve those problems, especially while U are out of country.... just saying... We do the packages when we travel to Cancun.
