agree with HotHertsCpl - lazy lazy lazy - it's like someone got the DJ a new cd for his birthday and he wants to play it over and over. How much Pitbull can one man take - there is no need to answer this! Play anything just rotate it a bit! Apparently there have been more than 25 songs released since 1958 - I know! Remarkable, but I checked on Wiki so it must be true....... Although this thread reminds me of the classic line from Good Morning Vietnam when Robin Williams asks the guy in artillery what he wants to hear - ANYTHING, JUST PLAY IT LOUD OK! - I can live with that lol
They sure do love Pitbull at TTR both day times and evening, I cant hear one of his songs on the radio now without going into a cold sweatand looking for the off button. Or the better option turn down the sound because he alwasy has lovely ladies in the videos :wink3:
Its not the music as much as the atmosphere and view [ame=&feature=youtube_gdata_player]TJR - Ode To Oi (DjExilon Remix 2013) [HD] - YouTube
Anything that gets people up and dancing or singing along at the top of their lungs is good with me. And I like to feel like I'm not in the US, so I'd love to hear more reggaeton and Latin music, too. I just don't understand why the DJs aren't open to requests...aren't WE paying THEM to play for us? A good DJ reads the crowd and responds.
last april when they had the party by the pool the DJ played some great classic rock towards the end of the night that had the dance floor packed. Everyone was singing along and there may have been a little air guitar being played LOL clearly the crowd liked the choice of music so it would have been nice to hear some more of it during the day just to mix it up..... you get sick of hearing the same music for hours when it is so easy to mix it up by popping in a few other genres here and there
The only complaint we had about TTR last year was the music! It seemed like it was the same 20 songs day and night for a week straight and you can only take put your fu@*king hands up many times before you go crazy!
I know that when Dj'ing that in the US here you have to pay royalties per song or if you are at a club then the club has to pay and "open royalty fee" and the DJ has to pay that if they are a stand in. Do the same fees apply in Mexico? that could be the standing reason for the same songs over & over. Keep the resort costs down by not having to pay 100's of different royalties?
