Can anyone tell me where the best place to buy flowers close to the Oasis Viva would be? I'm looking for nice fresh flowers suitable to make a bouquet and boutinere for a wedding. I thnk it's going to be the evening after we arrive and we won't have a lot of time to shop around, so any help on this one would be appreciated! Thanks!
Not saying you wouldn't find flowers for sale in the hotel zone, but they are hard to come by, and they will be pretty pricey. Your best bet would be in downtown. Will look into it, and let you know
Why not contact Cancun wedding Center- situated in Plaza caracol opn the hotel zone. They can arrange flowers etc - they will do anything large or small and do not need to be involved in any other aspect of your wedding. Petra is the owner and speaks english . Tel 998 883 3824.
Thanks, Petra is doing our ceremony for us actually. I am having surgery while I'm down there, and my patient coordinator has offered to get her driver to take us to Walmart that day before my pre-op appointment. (We're getting married the day before my surgery) Now all I really need to do is find an inexpensive photographer!!![
Av. Yaxchilan down town has a few flower shops on it. I usually buy flowers at the first shop on the left as you drive along. Sorry I do no remember the name. They do not speak English there mind you, so perhaps have some pictures for what you are looking for and I am sure that they will right you down a price. To get to Av. Yaxchilan head north out of the Hotel Zone and keep going straight, you will pass Av. Bonampak as you exit the Hotel Zone and now be on Av. Coba, the next intersection will be Av. Tulum and have a large Cheduraui grocery store on the right as you go through, from there get in the right lane. Once you pass the Blockbuster video take the next right at the intersection and this will put you on Av. Yaxchilan.
To add to what LTL said, there is a nice florist next to the Blockbuster that is mentioned in the post. If you are on the bus you should be on the R-2 as the R-1 turns right on Tulum, the corner where Chedraui is located. The R-2 stops just after Chedraui and also stops for Walmart, that you mentioned. To get to Walmart you have to cross the street and walk another block. But to get back to the Hotel Zone you get the bus on Av. Xcaret, which runs along the right side of Walmart if you are facing the front of the store. Many people go back to where they get off the bus and are hopelessly lost, as you would grow old and die waiting for a bus to the HZ from there.
Luckie, if you don't mind, who is your patient coordinator, and which hospital did you choose for your surgery?
My patient coordinator is Robyn Hoffman at Perfection. She has been so helpful, answering all my questions, and even having their chauffer take us to buy flowers for the wedding. She is a sweetheart!!
