Where to buy diatomaceous earth

I ordered 2 lbs. from ebay. It ended up being more inexpensive to have it shipped from there than using Amazon and then a 3rd party shipping service. I'm heading back home in May so if I need some more, I can pick some up while I'm there.

It had to become available after I placed my order. 11 lbs to ship from Merkalink.com runs about $32 so not too too bad.

I'm curious about your experience with Merkalink. Happy with the service?

 

Honestly, they made me mad because there was one thing they didn't mention on their website. On your first shipment, they have to verify the address where you are shipping your item to and they want a land line number for that address to call. I didn't have a land line so they gave me two options. One was to pay at Bancomer (which I don't have an account for) or they would send me a credit card authorization form that required a copy of my bank statement and all sorts of other things.

I ended up having a friend pay it with his Bancomer account but it really irked me because they wasted a week in waiting to tell me that they needed to verify the address.

Will I use them again? Probably but I will avoid them at all costs.

I know there's also upk.com.mx but I haven't use their service yet.

 

Curiosa, we use Merkalink somewhat frequently and you don't need an account at Bancomer to make a deposit there. I just did this for my FMTri membership. Just show up, wait in the horrifically long lines and make your deposit into their account, come back to the computer and enter in the ficha info. Pretty simple for us.

You should be able to buy it at a swimming pool store. It is used in the pool filters on some types of systems.:icon_cool:

 

I need the food grade, not the industrial grade. very different product.

Has anyone had any luck finding Food Grade DE in Mexico. Ideally I would like to buy 25 kgs approx. for our holistic healing center in Puerto Escondido.
