If the steaks are good that is cheaper than what I can get at a Supper Club in the States. On the left side of the menu anyway.
Yeah but it is downtown Cancun, it's not the Hotel Zone. I don't get who they are aiming it because there is no way in hell most English people are going to pay that sort of money for a roast dinner where the meat is not going to be anything like you can get back in New Romney in Kent (dreams for a moment of lambs running through the fields back home ). I can't see Mexicans paying that sort of money so I don't know who will? The price for kids is scandalous too, should be like 50 pesos at the most.
Have to agree, those prices are far too expensive. If we were to go for Sunday Lunch, with drinks and tip we'd be looking at about £70 or 1300 pesos. Similar thing at home would be about £30 tops and the UK is supposed to be expensive and Mexico cheap.
Restaurants here have always seemed expensive to me, relative to what you get. We were at Isla Mujeres last weekend and were regularly dropping 1,200 pesos for three diners if we included a bottle of cheap wine, 900 if we didn´t.
Can't remember the last time a bill was over 1000 pesos for us! Think the most expensive we've had was Chilli's at 600 for 2 adults and 2 kids and that never fails to deliver fantastic food everytime.
There are 3 locations: 1. Cheesters Pasta (the original one) is located in the park of SM 31. This is my favorite, but always crowded. 2. Cheesters Pizza is nearby, just off Av La Costa in SM 29 3. And a newly opened 3rd location is at Paseo Cancun (or Outlet Cancun... whatever) Or just look up "Cheesters Cancun" on Google maps, and they'll show you the first 2 locations. Keep in mind they're closed Sundays and they close promptly at 11 pm. I'd get there before 10, if I were you, otherwise the kitchen will try to rush you out of there
Bucca di Beppo is coming to the hotel zone. They are usually very popular restaurants in the US. Huge portions are their trademark (especially the meatballs) as is family style dining. They are in the hiring process now so they should be opening soon. I can not say it is better then Cheesters, but it is another option for eating if you are in the hotel zone.
We love... Taco Rigo for tacos La Farola for Argentinian beef and amazing empanadas Surfin' Burrito for the best burritos in Cancun Las Frias for tacos and micheladas Cheesters for pasta
