We've had some deep water related car repairs in the past too. Nowadays I do what I can to avoid driving in the rain here, have just driven through more than my share of deep puddles, and have hit far too many submerged and invisible car-eating potholes. No power cuts yesterday, though my Vonage was knocked offline for about 3 minutes during that time, so the phone line may have gone out in there.
