Looks like there was some "fine print" neither the media, nor private preparers passed along to folks who filed electronically... http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/orl-delay0908may09,0,5797028.story Michelle
Here is another reason why some won't get a check at all.... http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-immigration_slider_bdmay11,0,7066924.story Michelle
Sorry guys.... The message boards all over the place are blowing up with angry posters venting their disgust. Some folks spent $600 early expecting the rebate check to hit their accounts by the date that the IRS chart indicates. Now they are going to have checks bouncing all over town. I feel REALLY sorry for those folks because for each check that bounces, that is proly going to cost them $20 a pop.....further reducing the net amount of extra income. Then you have another catagory of folks who were expecting $600, and only got $300 and are now having the same bouncing check "issues." I think they call that 2 steps forward-5 steps backward. What a way to stimulate the economy! Michelle
Hey, even the banks need stimulating. Ha! That is pretty messed up for the folks that spent money expecting the stimulus package sooner, but it also hammers home that nobody should spend the money until it is in their hands.
