Wow. While I didn't make my first trip to TTR until March of 2013, I've been reading posts on the forum for quite some time (to prep for the trip and make sure I knew what I was getting myself into-thanks for all the tips by the way!) but never bothered to actually "join" the forum, create my own post or reply to any post.

    Until now.

I must say Toochit, you, my friend, are an imbecile. Really? In this day and age to make a blanket statement like this against our neighbors to the north is idiotic and uncalled for. Now, I live in South Florida-Boca Raton to be exact-and am certainly used to a flock of snowbirds swarming into my area and while I could certainly complain about a lot of things (yes I do steer clear of any and all Quebec license plates on I-95!), your rantings are unfounded and asinine as most of the follow-up comments clearly show. I will say that while my wife and I may not be the most outgoing people, that we enjoyed our trip to TTR and one of the reasons was due to meeting people from all over the world and the Canadians we met from Edmonton and Ontario were perhaps the friendliest of all!

I hope that your comments do not deter any of the Canadians from coming back down to TTR-I KNOW that the resort loves having them there.

Except for the French Canadians of course...

    ...KIDDING!!!

Canada’s name comes from a misunderstanding between Jacques Cartier and some Iroquois youth who were pointing out a village (for which they used the word “Kanata”). They were actually trying to identify the small area which is present day Quebec City, but Cartier used the similar-sounding word “Canada” to refer to the whole area. Oops.
even more proof Canadians are better drinkers than those in America, was this a misunderstanding or a drunken slur?

For all of you loonie tunes up in the frozen tundra(Canada), I must now bow out and conceed to you be better then us in the US. With the exception of drinking and partying, that I will still always try to prove and one up you on. But really why is it that all these people from the US are too thick to understand a joke and read thouroughly? At least you maple leaf, read, figured it out and called me on it and still have the heart to joke.... YOU WIN!!

I found this on Wikipedia... Just goes to show that Canadians wouldnt know a good beer if they fell in a vat of it!!!!

Beer in Canada was introduced by European settlers in the seventeenth century, and a number of commercial brewers thrived until Prohibition in Canada. Though short-lived, very few brewers survived, and it was only in the late twentieth century that new breweries opened up. The Canadian Beer industry now plays an important role in Canadian identity, though globalization of the brewing industry has seen the major players in Canada acquired by or merged with foreign companies, notably its three largest beer producers, Labatt, Molson and Sleeman. The result is that Moosehead has become the largest fully Canadian-owned brewer.

Not a one of those beers even taste good... any drinking American can drink themselves sober on that cheap Canandian crapola!!!!

These so called Canadian Drinkers.. They can't hold a candle to a pro from the USA!! Think about it. The stuff that passes as good booze in the Great White North is either weak as hell or simply non-drinkable. My God!!! the shit that passes for whiskey??? About all it's good for is lighting a cooking fire in a snow cave!!!

The most popular brands of Canadian whiskey, Crown Royal (Decent but with so many better whiskeys out there why drink Crown??), Seagram's V.O.(Gag me!!!!) and Canadian Club (Even the high end C.C is $20 a fifth cheap rot gut Shit, IMHO.)

An example of a really swallow gene pool!

My brother is an American from Boston,MA, I have other family in the ATL, I did my Masters at NU and some of the best people we have ever met are friends from the US! Let's not sink to this clown's level or think for a moment he is representative of all our great neighbours to the south!

We have many many fine smaller breweries my friend.

Just never tell anyone from Saskatchewan this isn't a good beer if you don't want a fight lol!

and this one is actually a very pleasant beer from Saskatchewan on that note. make by what I would consider a mid size brewery (not micro but not huge).

And our whiskey is awesome dammit! lol
