When will Americans Learn?

As an American, i dont care about your opinion on whether or not you think I should or shouldnt carry a gun. No one, including my wife, ever knows. But you bet your ass, if we end up in a situation where I have to pull it, everyone with and around me will be damn glad I did.
However, as an American, I WILL take exception to your statement of "when will Americans learn" Its what makes this country what is. Are there other countries in the world that are better? I doubt it. But I dont know.
Could the same be said when a bomb blows up a fuckin bus in England, or IED goes off in the middle east. Or car bombing in Ireland? Or tear gas in Japan?
That was an ignorant statement all together.
Look into the bigger picture about Newtown and some of the other goings on in the US. Its not about gun control. Its about people control. Whether the process here works or not, its meant to. That CANT be said about other parts of the world.

My brother was murdered by a military individual.. if he had a gun he would of been able to take care of his two kids. As soon as you can ensure the evil minded will not be able to get one on the black market.. then I will swing to your side. Evil people will do evil things.. no matter what.. They will find a way.

I do think Parents need to secure their guns.. I would like to see some type of finger print recognition security box / case set up offered for households with kids. just a thought..

 

They actually do have a fingerprint recognition lockbox for pistols.

I had access to gun and ammunition from a very young age, but never once laid a finger on them for fear of my dad spanking the crap out of me. I was also taught from a very early age to respect them.
Of course I wasn't sitting on my ass playing violent video games and popping Prozac like most of these social parasites responsible for these mass shootings of late.

 

As a woman living in the US who carries a gun I hate to get into this convo but what the hell. People say we carry because we are scared. Let me explain it this way... Do you have Fire insurance on your house? Do you have life insurance on your spouse? Do you wear a seatbelt when you drive your car? Well, I do and I carry a gun for the exact same reason. JUST IN CASE! It is a scary world out there. Things have changed in the last few years. This year we have had shootings in movie theaters, Best Buys, Walmart, schools, etc. Many say if you change the gun laws it will stop. They are foolish! The bad guys will always have access to guns, so I will carry to protect myself. Just think about it this way, meth is illegal and so are all the chemicals to make it but guess what? It is still around. Changing the laws change nothing. Criminals dont follow the law.

 

And by the way, my daughter received her first gun for Christmas at age 8 and has been hunting bear and deer ever since. We never worry about her being around guns because she has been well educated and knows the dangers. We spent this past Saturday shooting as a family at the range.
