When will Americans Learn?

wow, heavy duty stuff going on here. Read every post and not even going to begin to make a comment on it - I'm going to TTR for the fun, the sex, the shots and the wonderful people. But if anyone tries to stick a cork up my snorkel I will not be impressed!!

I mean chances are I would have never tried to tackle this one either but there is a time and a place

I prefer to keep my perceptions about other countries and their laws and culture to myself and while I do realize it is very trendy to jump on the gun hating bandwagon and make ignorant conclusions relating to constitutional law and american civil liberties

we might want to consider our own issues within our own countries.

-perhaps before we try to get a pair of tweezers and take out the speck of particle board in anothers eye - we just might want to call a carpenter and have him come out and remove the four foot by eight food wooden board - which is wrapped with rope, sealed air tight and nailed down on our own head with 72 rust proof nails and four metal stakes

I'm sure between the two of us we will come up with something to explain how over half of all recent college graduates are either unemployed or under employed and they still overwhelmingly voted for Obama. I guess they like the stress free life of living in Mom and Dad's basement!

About the only time I have ever felt the need to pack heat was when driving through Winnipeg, MB AKA murder capitol of Canada.....
Truth is I have a pile of guns, and have never had the urge to shoot anyone. I also have a concealed pistol permit and can carry a hand gun about anywhere I please, but rarely do so because I am just not scared. The truth is the crime problem in the US is largely confined to a few inner cities like New Orleans, Detroit, LA, Chicago etc which are absolute chit holes. Here in Bum Faq MI we simply dont have a violent crime issue.

here, but a couple more thoughts then I'll shut up.

First, cops won't give up guns, nor do I want them to. They need guns to protect & serve.
So, do we really want this guy to have guns?


Hindsight being 20-20, no...we don't want Christopher Dorner to have guns. There are other examples of police officers gone bad as well. They are human just like the rest of us.

The USA has a mental health problem disguised as a gun problem, and a tyranny problem disguised as a security problem.

Just my 2 cents, now I'm done.

 

I know as for me growing up I have shot many guns as a young kid. My father taught me how to use them in a safe way. And you bet your butt if I ever touchted a gun without permission the outcome would have been all bad form my back side.

I am a father of 4 kids, 13, 14,14 and 15 now. All of my kids know how to shoot all of my guns and know not to touch them without permission. Do I trust my kids Hell yes. I could leave a gun on my desk top and not think twice about it. But I don't because my kids have friend over and I don't trust them. Who knows how they have been raised or if they have any exposure to gun. To my kids a gun is no big deal and don't think twice about one and they know a gun does to life.

I have a concealed carry permit and can carry in any state in the US. Although i find myself not carrying it as much due to the fact that I am usually drinking and having a good time. Guns and drinking don't really mix so well.

My family and I enjoy hunting together and is something we look forward to. We use guns but our favorite is compound bows they are a real challenge.

 

Guns are like parachutes. If you need one and don't have one, you will probably never need one again.
