When will Americans Learn?

This is a subject near to my heart. I'm a weapons mfg in the US and have heard every side of this issue. From overwhelmingly ridicullas arguments to seemingly well thought out ones.
When we live in a world where there are armed criminals, armed terrorists and armed zealots, you can rest assured there will be violence with firearms. You can also rest assured that there will be well armed, law abiding citizens prepared to stand and defend themselves. These same law abiding gun toting civilians are the only thing that is keeping an aggressively out of control federal gov't from just taking what they want when they want. Remember WACO! It's a necessary evil that our forefathers recognized after dealing with an over taxing and aggressive fatherland.
People that live in Canada and other countries that don't have open gun laws also don't have to deal with the high crime rates like RAPE! Look at what happened in Australia when they gave up there guns. Rapes went up 800% the first year.
When you have terrorists driving large trucks into crowds, the ONLY thing that is gonna stop that is a loaded and functioning firearm. No wonder you see it happening in places like France and Germany. You don't see too many terrorists plowing through crowds with trucks in Mississippi. You never know who's packing. That's the beautiful aspect of concealed carry laws. The very law makes criminals a little wary about committing the crime. Then again, if I really wanted to wreak havoc, I could choose a place where know one is allowed firearms and could take over. Maybe I'll set my sites on Canada! Become the Fidel Castro of 21st century!!! Nah! too friggin cold. If I'm taking over somewhere, it's gonna be a WARM climate. Maybe I should set my sites on CUBA! Temptation RESORT in CUBA. Has a nice ring to it.
