I went to the Cinema and watched the Real Cancun with my mate Buga and as soon as the movie finished. We were like lets go. So we did!!!! So we did our research and thats when I discovered this forum.
Was going to Hawaii with my 2 best friends for my 21st and they both bailed on me. I was at home on holidays from work in August 2 years ago, I'd just crashed my car a few days earlier and it was about 2.30am and I was thinking about where I can go where my sister (who was only 18) could come along too. Remembered watching the Real Cancun and thinking it looked like fun so I googled Cancun and made my decision almost instantly coz it didn't cost much more then Hawaii. Asked my sister the next day if she was interested and she said yes, thinking it was another of my plans that never eventually happens, haha, she loved it as much as me so I think I derserve some credit :lol: I didn't start lurking here until about the time of Wilma, also happened to be the week I picked up my flight tickets, man I felt sick at the time not knowing what was going on and had already spent $2500 on flights. I lurked for a few more months until I decided to say hi one day in early 2006
Went out on a Thursday night back in 93. Met up with a friend who was leaving Friday morning for a photo shoot in Cancun. They were shooting some NFL cheerleader calendars. It sounded like fun. She took off just after last call, I told her I might see her down there... Saturday morning, my buddy and I were at the airport on our way down to Cancun for 2 weeks. After a few years of regular visits, I started trolling the Cancun websites. Back in the days of the flame wars. I was never much of a poster, more of readed. Didn't really know anyone as I didn't post much. I remember seeing a link to this website on another Cancun website. I stopped by, but the only post was from Michael F. Even though I didn't know many people, I knew I didn't like Michael F back then... I quickly hit my back button and went back to the flame wars. I lurked here for a long a time before I registered just to read the bathroom diaries. that was almost 5 years ago...
Went to Cancun the first time in 1987. Went again a couple of times in the 90's. Then married Kristy and we had been on several vacations and decided to go to Cancun. Searched the web and found cancuncare on 12/10/2002. We have made several trips to BBG. Also have gone to Desire and another resort in Playa del Carmen. We have numerous friends from this site that we meet in the U.S. James
Karan, have you about given up on that high school football team of yours? Did you actually go to BBG the first time you went to Cancun? james
