We do the same on Lake Lewisville just outside Dallas. When the dept of game and fish comes around we always look back at them through our binoculars it usually gets the moving on.
Nothing compares to TTR, but we try and make do with laying poolside (pretending we are at TTR) , going boating on the lake, and at least one trip to Vegas every year.
You are right - TTR is so easy, it requires almost no thought or preparation for us to have a great time! We love the party and always bring it where ever we go! Sometimes we think TTR is too tame, Desire too boring, and have to settle into just right and the people you surround yourself make that happen! Much like Kyle has stated - if we could just bring the party brigade of all the best people we have ever met in our travels to one week of TTR - the resort would burn down and a plaque would be erected in our honor of the epicness that ensued. our trips overlapped last march by 1 day and we never met up, how is the trek down towards that lake, close to the interstate? are there major roads that lead to the lake or smaller secondary roads, like a lot of the lakes in Missouri. Would love to travel with the boat more but we are never sure of the conditions of roads and restrictions, we need some space to maneuver, longbed 4 door diesel truck+ 54 ft boat trailer+ about 4 ft of boat hanging off the back, not the kind of rig to have if you run into tight quarters.

Not sure how we missed you, Joanne said she saw you two, we figured we would run it to each other. Next time for sure! About the lake. It would be no problem. Our boat came in on a Semi truck. They bring 50ft cabin cruisers in and out of the water all the time. Major holidays like the 4th and labor day are especially fun we normally tie up with a good group of people and stay the entire weekend on the water. After the sun goes down and all the little wakeboard boats leave that's when the real fun starts!!
