for me (I onkly drink Tequila) the best is Cuervo Tradicional Reposado and I like it even more than Don Julio Añejo Special Reserve.
forgot to tell that the most impoirtant think to find in a bottle when buying a Tequila is the 100% AGAVE. For example Jimador use to bee 100% agave and 2 years ago change to doble destilación.
I drink either Gran Centario Anejo or Don Julio Anejo. They are both good quality tequila, but the Gran Centario is cheaper and harder to get in the states. You can't go wroing with either one. These are both tequilas that I drink in shots.
Corralejo Reposado for me (Long Blue Bottle). I have tried them all and that is by far my favorite. It's pretty cheap too (Compared to Patron). Patron is over rated. Corralejo is one of the few tequillas that is not made in Jalisco.
i just have a hard time with wooden barrel aged liquor, it gives me a mega headache instantly, so Patron is hangover proof for me. I have never been a huge fan of tequila shots (a margarita fiend) so I love the way Patron mixes. Is the tequila mentioned above dark?
the Blue Bottle (Reposado) is light in color They actually make a white clear bottle, which would be similar to Patron Silver.
I tried something called Adrenalina Reposado last week in Cozumel. Prolly the best I have ever had, IMO.
