Oh cool, i would love to try a few before i buy a bottle. I don't mind paying more for good quality. Then I can have a few shots on the ride to the hotel.
Porfidio is our favorite, but I have never seen it at the Duty Free stores or anywhere in the states. 100 Anos is not bad for the money, & quite a bit better than Patron or any of the Jose's. Definitely the best at TTR except when Ken is there with the big blue dick!!
Thats what they want you to think! So they can charge $15 a shot for it... try any of the other ones people have listed. You'll be impressed!
La Familia is amazing! Talk about smooth. My parents bought this during their trip to Temptations last year. It was like $100-$130/bottle if I remember him right. When I tried it after he brought it home, I was very very impressed. They were charging over $40/shot here in Colorado at a restaurant (which is ridiculous however) but none-the-less it was the best I've ever had
forgot the link to what it is. Here it is : SendLiquor.com - Jose Cuervo: Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Tequila (Mexico) 750ml
Does anyone know of a pub in Cancun that is not commercialized and has many types of Tequilas? I would like to sample a wide variety to figure out what I like the best.
The resort has quite a few different types... if you ask for them. We had quite a little taste testing session one evening - it was quite late, after most of the 'party' had died down. Tell Johnny the alcoholic's from Canada sent you
Also check your prices back home so you know if its even worth lugging a bottle home. I live in WI so are liqour is pretty cheap over all. I rarely find a good deal in the last 5 to 7 years in Cancun airport, Walmart, or anywhere else in Cancun. Midori might be the only exception. Most of it is within a buck or two and at that point I got enough other crap to carry that I don't need bottle or two on top of it to save a dollar. So how much is that big bottle of Quta Penas???
The best we've had and absolutely love is Carmesi. We get it in Puerto Penasco and Puerto Vallarta. They don't sell it in the states. It's by far the smoothest tequila we've had!!! Highly recommend it if you can find it.
