Looking for some input from all the frequent visitors to the GP. TripAdvisor has a ton of reviews reporting staff have been moved around. The new manager has responded that he wants to cross train everyone. Some are saying it just isn't the same at the tiki bar. We are already cinfirmed for 8 days at the beginning of October. Would like to know what to expect. Thanks for any info.
Three days, but who's counting? We'l (my 3 girlfriends and I) will be arriving on Wednesday as well, but I haven't been to GP before so I'll have nothing to compare it to. Still can't wait, though! Hopefully we'll run in to some of you there!
Word is the have Fonzi at the Barn, and Jose doing afternoon at the Tiki. I think Carlos was at Shangrila. No body shots, and no topless at the pool according to Hector, the GM. We will not be back unless changes are made. Many, many others who have dozens more trips than us feel the same way.
This really pisses me off. Do they really have karaoke at the tiki bar now at night? Bad news if true. Did they really move Jose? Bad move unless he requested it. Does a slushy machine now block the ocean view a the bar? Terrible decision if true. Are they really trying to 'tame' nighttime activities at the Tiki Bar? We go th GP because of the nighttime atmosphere. We are not Temptation party goers but love to cut loose and live a little. The Tiki bar gave us the perfect outlet. I hope we haven't wasted our money paying for a trip in July. It's a shame they are tweaking things that don't need changing at a great place.
Take some pics of the Tiki Bar if you can. This whole, slushy machine obstructing the view has me ticked. Hopefully, it's not nearly as bad as I imagine it right now.
