What's the 1 THING u wished u'd packed but didn't (esp on yr first trip to TTR)?

We've never taken the alcohol whipped cream yet but from what I've read so far everyone has packed them in their checked luggage with no problems. Jess

How do you get the air out when you're leaving to go home? Did you borrow housekeeping's vacuum?

 

From our first trip, we learned to take a carry-on with some swimwear and an outfit or two that we can wear in the event that our luggage gets there the next day.

 

Yes always pack a swimsiut with sandals in your carry on cause we have always gotten there at noon and the room is never ready. So they take your luggage lock it up and tell you to come back to the desk about 3. Bathroom in the lobby change hit the lunch buffet. Then straight to the Sexy Pool mug in had ready for a fill up. Our first year there we just kinda woke up in our room around about 9pm. Neither of us remebered going to the desk at all to get our keys and luggage. O well it was in the shower and off to Paty O's.

 

and take any meds in your carry on.

also don't forget to print out transfer vouchers and other confirmations.

yeah, i know, sounds basic, but brilliant me did forget it once. i was lucky, though. back then you just needed a notary to "certify" that you were a US citizen.

and it's been 5 years since i travelled to Cancun, and if it wasn't for someone else (THANK YOU lotsatimers!!!!) mentioning it, i would have forgotten it!!! derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

 

Sunscreen is hugely expensive at the resort, so buy some tube that is under 100 ml to have in your carry on if you are arriving before check-in time. Lately I've been using a powdered mineral sunblock that works really well, is very lightweight to pack, and doesn't cause problems with the no-liquid rule for carry-on baggage. If any of the ladies are interested in a powdered sunblock, PM me for the details (it's kind of a chick thing). :mermaid:
