what will all us TTR folks do when TTR closes for remodel

We can't this year Mel....we are in Nola for Jazzfest first week of May and Dublin Ireland the first week of June.....only so much vacation time and budget $$$.
Just left TTR 2 weeks ago and back in 32 days.
of course Halloween is another week and NYE at end of year.
my 350 vacation hrs only streeeeetcch soo far.

But U need to make maiden voyage with HnH!

How about Desire Copacabana Hotel and Suites in Costa Rica?

Seems like it has major potential for CCC group takeovers. It is not perfect, but neither is Temptation. (Only way we would find perfection is if CCC community built/bought our own property)
Anyone have any experience or knowledge of this resort?

 

Man, you said a lot, and I agree with all of it. When I hear the phrase like takeovers I wasn't thinking about anyone being as polite as you, and not wanting to invade someone else's vacation. Very nice. During the day, I think, yes it would be quite different from Temptation. At night though I can't imagine people giving you that what are you doing vibe at the Tiki bar. Last trip there was this group of swingers who were large and in charge in more ways than one. Anyway they were the ones with the sex toys out on two different nights right at the bar. I know some people gave that look that you are talking about of "this isn't what I signed up for", but it didn't take away from the overall night. Most people just ignored them and continued on with what they were doing. Honestly(trying not to be rude) it was more how they looked I think than what they were doing. Nobody is gonna get upset if two hot women are doing this. We talked to quite a few regulars there, and they said the Tiki can be wild like that anytime people are willing to do it.

I completely understand you point about going to a place you feel was less risk. For us it was more of a risk to go to Temptation because of the constant reports of "it's not about the facility, it's about the people". Well, we still wanted something kind of nice so that is why we chose GP, and I'm not saying it's way nicer, just a little in my opinion. It's funny you mentioned the beach, because that was big plus in choosing GP over Temptation. First trip, was our first trip ever, and we wanted something more relaxing, so we were on the nice beach the whole time. This year, it was so windy that we didn't enjoy it as much, and ended up at the pool the whole time. There was no sexy games, but it's where we met a few couples that we hung out with the rest of the time, and what made our trip so much fun. Donald had a great point!

As for the food. We are not food people AT ALL, and I'm sure we would be fine anywhere. The couple we were with, stayed at LeBlanc last time, and they said it was 5-star. One of them got food poisoning there, so it can happen anywhere.

Thanks man! I would love to go for Halloween, but that would leave some very disappointed people at home. Mostly the kid, because we have done a team costume the last 3 years (all his life). I am sure one day he will want to ditch this idea, but until then we got trick or treating to do. One day I should be able to figure something out. It looks like an awesome time down there.

 

You go to Temptations and he goes trick or treating by himself as the kid from the movie Home Alone. Win,win.

 

It's very small at only 38 rooms, but if you are serious about a takeover any of the larger LS travel agents that do group bookings could arrange it for you.
