I agree! It is not even tolerable for us. This is why I made this post to see what other people do if they are on the same page as us. It drags my mood down, too! A few years ago it was so bad we left one night and went to the hotel zone. The hotel zone def had better music but everything else about it sucked lol. So, I think this time around we will go to Bash for the show and move the party to our room or our friends penthouse.
We find this so sad, that so many feel the same way and the best option is to go to bed early.... come on TTR you need to be better than this.....
They've got their agenda, a target audience they're trying to appeal to. Always have really I think. It changes maybe a bit over time but right now the music feels like they're looking for young south american market?
I wouldn't say there was really a downside. I did think the crowd at the club was def on the younger side (young to mid 20's). There is a lot to see and do. It reminds me of the Vegas strip. It is VERY expensive, though. So it sucked for us to pay $24 for a margarita that is "free" at our hotel. If you haven't been, I think it is worth venturing out to see!
$24!?! Yeah that sounds pricey. Visited Vegas for the first time this year! Epic trip but yeah can get a bit pricey. Out savings took about £2k dent across Vegas/New York. Lost about $50 in Vegas at the tables by the end. Loads of play though so I count that as a win. My downfall was doing late night blackjack!
There used to be a live rock band at the sexy pool once a week, but that stopped in'19. So no, there is no live band at TTR. Desire RM has live bands most nights after the show. They play for 1/2 hour to an hour before shutting down and then most people wander up to the disco.
I don’t mind a mix of different music since I literally love almost all genres but come on man! All they go for at TTR and all other resorts we’ve stayed at is EDM. I feel like they want the European vibe and don’t realize that we go to Latin America for a reason. We want to experience the culture, including the music. All their IG post show nothing but EDM DJs. We wanna listen and dance to a variety of music. Our past trips have been amazing but the only disappointment has been the DJs. We ended up going to Rakata night club and had a blast but wished that the music at the club was played at bash so we could have the TTR vibe to go with it. Unfortunately they don’t care about our feedback since they never change anything about the music selection.
