Rain....don't worry Just party, party, party. We are just coming out of almost 8 months of a brutal winter we will be making lemonade out of lemons so to speak ha ha. Rain makes wet tee shirts-rain keeps the dust down-if its cloudy you wont need sun glasses if its stormy we will all be closer together partying- if there is lightning we will enjoy the show-and when it ends with a little luck and a lotta booze we will have made new friends and had a blast!
This is when we were there last year - June 1 to 7, I believe. And it rained. And rained. And rained. I heard that they actually closed the airport for a day because downtown flooded pretty severely. Our roof was leaking, the floors everywhere were soaked. If something got wet, it didn't dry. The staff really do try to keep it going. Is it the same? No, but they do their best. Someone suggested an umbrella? Yes, great idea (but if it rains like it did last year, you will still get wet - be warned!). The other thing that I wished I had more of was pants/long sleeves. I found that once I was wet and add in being in and out of the air conditioning - I couldn't get and stay warm. You really have to decide that you're just going to have fun, and either find the fun, or make it. That's why we're going a bit earlier this year!
As others have said...if a cloud blows in and drops rain for 5 minutes...it's forecast as rain. Most often that's what it will be...not worth worrying about.
We're running short on suitcase space. Do you know if the Walmart there has the inflatable Beer Pong tables? I would think they would. Between Beer Pong, Crisco Twister and Card Games I think we can find plenty to do.
We imagine that anything more than a light shower would send the security staff off the pool deck and indoors in an effort to stay dry. knock-knock..... Well hello there Mr/Mrs opportunity. :icon_wink:
DEFINATELY ROOM PARTIES.......invite everyone to ur room, makes friends and share a crapload of drinks, and when the sun comes back out....everyone hauls ass to the sexy pool
