What's funny is it didn't rain our whole trip when we were at TTR, but we went our one day to Chichen Itza and it rained so hard that we had to buy new clothes! The only other time it rained was when we were snorkeling on the Boobs Cruise, but that lasted for only 1 minute. So it turned out to be a fairly rain less trip even though the forecast called for rain everyday while we were there.
We just go out anyway and swim or walk the beach. A rainy day on vacation at TTR is still better than the best day at work! It's all a matter of perspective
