What questions would you like answered by day 1, Aug 15th visitors?

No free porn channels? Is this true?

 

Not in the tower so I assume nowhere. I searched for them and couldn't find them. There was PPV porn We did have more english channels then we ever have had in Mexico but I only turned on the TV to find the porn channels so that wasn't very helpful.

 

I think I covered this in my main thread but at Bash there were big burgers, BLT, Hot dogs, french fries, a salad bar, a buffet station that included nachos, mozzarella sticks, etc. Lots of choices.

 

1) Are there still premier only items on the menus? At she there were not as it was a fixed menu. They say they are likely changing it from 7 course to 9 course and adding a la cart options. At Sea Flirt there was.... Jen and Kyle live from TTR!
2) Repeat guests: is the food better or worse (realizing that this is a very subjective question). I'm particularly interested in hearing if those who didn't like the food before closing think there has been major improvement. This is us. We only liked the Italian before closing. We liked every meal this trip. Expected opening pains w food but didn't experience any of that.
3) What is the "She" experience like? See.... Jen and Kyle live from TTR! We LOVED it.
4) At one time, the description for "Flame" said non-tower guests would have an additional charge. That wording has disappeared from the website. Can you confirm that there is no additional charge and if there is, what is the amount? No additional charge. It is actually part of the Buffet for dinner. The left half of the buffet restaurant turns into Flame at night and is sit down dinner. We did not dine there though so can't comment on quality.
5) Theme nights - while the theme nights have general descriptions on the website, there is no mention of what activities will happen for each night (Such as stripper night, anything goes, Karaoke, lingerie casino etc. prior to closing). Please let us know what the new theme nights include. The new entertainment director is very creative. Really trying to make it a grand show. Most were dressed for lingerie night. A good amount were dressed for angels and devils. He shared some of his plans for other nights that I will post in my trip report. Long answer. End result is they are really embracing the theme nights and promoting them. One thing of note. lingerie was not required to enter Bash. But this worked out ok. Wasn't a lot of gawkers.
6) Any sense of what sort of contract upgrade options they are offering existing Premier members and what the cost is? No. Not premier and didn't do the presentation.
7) Any sense of what they are allowing upgrade wise on specific reservations? (for example - I booked a garden view room and want to upgrade to a ocean view room?) If allowed, are the upgrades free (space permitting) or is there a cost and how much. Are the options the same for Premier members and non-members? (Recognizing that because the hotel is sold out the first week, it may be impossible to know this.) Also impossible since they were trying to simply find rooms for everyone. Some lucky ones got upgraded because their room wasn't ready. Others downgraded. Didn't hear of anyone from premier getting an upgrade. In fact several were disappointed with the room they were given.
8) Who is behind the desk at the Premier Check in? Is the service still as good? Sorry, not premier member
9) How hard is it to get reservations at the restaurants that require them? Easy for us. But keep in mind the resort was only at 25-40% occupancy as they hadn't finished the rooms.

 

This is actually quite surprising and disappointing. Yeah, yeah, porn is everywhere nowadays, but it's nice to just be able to have it on the TV while preparing to go out for the evening, as it can help set the tone for the night.

 

People are blitzed out of their mind 24x7. We have picked "fished" plenty of floating drunks up and gotten security on numerous occasions or held someone up to keep from falling in to pool until security came. I don't think the late night swim is any more of a liability and usually the ones who jump in the "closed" pool are rebels. In the past security will over look for first couple walk by and then tell you to get out. If your naked...it's usually stopped immediately. However, we once had a security guard follow us to different locations at night while hubby took nude pics of me. The guards payment was getting to "see" what was going on. LOL
