Weigh your suitcases before you leave home....cost us an extra $98 bucks to get down there a couple weeks ago, then coming home, out comes the tape measure, they tried to tell us our bags were oversized....we pitched fit, and were left alone....Airtran, carrier for a Funjet Charter.....:aktion040:

And if it meets weight requirements on your way there, make sure you dont buy things on your trip that will make it go over on the way back!

hehe the trick is to have a bigger carryon or extra book bag. You are along one carry on and one personal(purse or laptop bag). It doesnt matter how big the laptop bag is, as long as there is a laptop in it and it is within carryon size regs. This is the trick i use. I have a rolling carryon for books, snacks, and in flight entertainment..... and then i have a nice XL ll bean book bag i book my laptop in. When my suitcase is overweight. I tell them ill brb and i rearrange things.... i take out my heaviest shoes, blowdryer, or a few heavy things and shove them in my big book bag! works wonders and saves me money every trip. Also, target sells that suitcase weigher thingy... but its 25 bucks. i just put my suitcase on the scale by itself, with a gentle hand behind, holding it so it wont fall. lol.

we are working out at least 4 times/week and then I find myself constantly looking for new sunglasses/board shorts/t-shirts/sandals/ over and over and over lol. As far as drinking goes, I think we're acclimated just fine cuz over here in Colorado it is very easy to get hangovers with all the thin air that drinking at sea level is always a nice change for me!

Hah I do the same thing. I get excited when stores actually have their summer stuff out... finally got a new pair of sunglasses and sandals. Normally I would think stores were crazy for having that stuff set up in February, but now I understand its partially for the vacationers!!! :fish:

we always do some sort of preliminaries. . .a trip to Houston a weekend or two before and something special like migas and chorizo and a bloody mary for breakfast. we're leaving in two weeks from today for ten days so Saturday we drove to Shreveport (it was in the seventies so we had the top down on the Roadster for the first time this year), went to Cantina Laredo for a flight of anejo tequila, top shelf guacamole, and a cascabel ribeye. . .

Too funny...this is my yearly "kick off the gym" time - and while I have no problem drinking, the tequila is what gets me - and is what I *should* be practicing. Of course, increasing the drinking prior to going does not bode well with the getting in better shape aspect... :bash:
