What is with the prices!!!??? Holy hell!

Paid Cdn$3600 yesterday for a dble occupancy package deal including baggage charges for April 14-24, 2014. Out of Vancouver, which is a 6-hour flight from Cancun, with good flight times (direct down, 1 short stop on the way back).

If anyone is stalking package deals from Canada, this weekend SellOffVacations.com is offering $200 off the posted prices per couple. Only this weekend. You have to call to book after you look online to choose what package you want....discount is not reflected on the site.

Many of the Easter flights are already getting full. The Westjet direct flights out of Vancouver for April 11, 12, 13 and returning 23 and 25 are nearly sold out. Hard to believe 8 months out. Easter is going to be a real pain in the cottontail this year for the Addicts.

have to say the prices are much much more now...we used to go for 10 days for just under 2K...now.......we are getting less for our money..7 days for just over 2K.....

we were even thinking about heading to TTR for NYE and it was almost 4 times as much.....dammit!!!

But have to say ... once we are there...reality goes out the window and the fun sets in.....it's just money..can't take it with you...and besides all of this makes for great rocking chair stories when we retire and can't afford to go anymore!!!

 

If you check Alpharooms.com and compare to Expedia or Travelripuoff you will notice almost a 400.00 to 500.00 dollar difference in your trip.... don't ask me how a UK based travel company can beat sites that says it has the lowest rates available .... Price fixing I think. We have booked through Alpharooms.com the past two years and the savings almost paid for the airfare.

I couldn't wait ---

 

Alpharooms is quoting nearly $300 per night for late January - we paid $1000 total for the same week (7 nights) this past January - so the rates have basically doubled! If we can go, maybe we are going to use someone's timeshare week or something ...

 

I think all the renovations taking place at the hotel might have something to do with it. I just hope they don't bump them up to desire prices.

 

We may be our worst enemy here at the forum-- maybe we should keep this place a secret---
