I saw this animal in Puerto Jaurez.. anyone know what it is? I like it. :icon_biggrin: Thanks for your help.
They are tejones. Tejon is singular. You can also see them in Parque Kabah. I can recognize them even without the picture. http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/liv...991-parque-kabah-donde-esta-los-animales.html
I cannot believe the poster with the question has not replied and confirmed it as being a Tejon. And Canuck for stealing her photo from and old post.
Yeah, I friggin HATE them. My fb had one in his apt last year and I called him in PANIC mode. Luckily his cab just pulled up. The monster was hanging from his curtains in his living room. I had a feeling the op was asking about this creature. YUCK!!!!!
Sorry went out of town for a few days.. I did post the pictures.. I can see them, I guess I must of did it wrong it was my first attempt. hehe The photos I posted are definitely "tejones" Thank you! I appreciate it.
Haha, not stealing really TJ, public property once I post it I guess! And for me they'll always be "coatis", "tejon" sounds too much like "Tajin" which is delicious on popcorn, pretty sure these creatures would not taste so great.
Canuck, There you are. My Mayan friends call them coatis. I am not sure which, if either, is proper. What word do you substitute for "aƱos", which "sounds too much like" ______? Je Je.
