$2273 for Feb 18-25 including round trip non-stop flight for 2 out of Detroit, garden view room, no insurance. Booked through Orbitz.
I really wish there was a non-stop flight to Cancun from Seattle ... I cannot believe how many places further away have non-stop flights - wth?! Anyway, we paid $1051 for 7 nights through Alpharooms for January 24-31, 2013. We got our flight on US Airways in late Oct. when they were running a special on flights to Cancun from Seattle. Normally flights are $700-$800 round trip, and they were $550ish at that time. We have a lot of miles with that airline, and other times I checked they wanted 65,000 miles for economy seats round trip EACH. I guess it was because of the special reduced price sale they were having, but I was able to get us round trip tickets for 30,000 miles each as long as I booked a Thursday-Thursday trip - otherwise the mile cost went back up to 65,000. So, I used our miles and it only cost $100 total for both flights! I was pretty happy about that!! The first trip was $2300 for air/room for 5 nights in Oct. 2011, booking a jacuzzi suite through the TTR website/Expedia. We paid $917 separately for Drops of Love (don't do it!!) and an upgrade to a Temptation Suite. We were refunded $400 on the third day of our trip because we complained about the false advertising with Drops of Love (there is NO BUTLER, and they cannot provide room service for every meal - does not exist). Our trip in January 2012 was $2656, flight and room, 7 nights. We booked a jacuzzi room through the TTR/Expedia website. Our trip in April 2012 was $1939 for flight and room, 5 nights. We booked through US Airways Vacations using the US Airways CC due to a miles special they were running - which helped us get our flights for this January The cost to book through US Airways was the same as Expedia at that time. We didn't use Alpharooms in the past because we got a better deal booking the flight and room together and can't book a flight from Seattle with the room on Alpharooms. Since we were getting the flights with miles for our January 2013 trip, we found Alpharooms had the best deal at about $150 per night. We really hope that a non-stop flight will be available to us someday from Seattle to Cancun!!
