Sigh. The price for us from Winnipeg hasn't moved up or down in months - $3210 is the best I can do. It's the same as last year though. I'm actually trying to decide if it would be better to use Alpha Rooms and airmiles or if the "all inclusive" flight/hotel/transfer combination is really worth the extra money? (between 150-300 depending on dates)
When are you going ? We are flying out of Winnipeg in Dec. for $2400 all included, direct. There is quite a difference in which days you fly out, up to $300 more per person.
We always do it this way, and paid 3390 out of Edmonton, this includes the 105 bucks or 52.50 each for tickets and paperwork, the girls at the travel agent honestly work hard for that money, specially when it comes to me, I am in there every other day working their brains over. With that said, I have been to cancun (Feb will be 11 times) and Cabo once, and never ever ever have I ever had an issue with the all inclusive ticket options. I also know that I can call them should I have an emergency and they can relay a lot of my stuff for me should something bad happen. Sure I think we could have honestly saved 700 bucks, but in the end, with a direct flight an everything WE believe that the extra money is worth the time. Should something like the above happen....I hope they take care of us.
Holy crap! Some of you folks are paying ALOT for 7 days. Guess most of it must be airfares. We just went for 7 days in Oct for $1400 + USA Transfers. Could have gotten it a little cheaper, but I waited too long. We want to go back next July, but our cutoff for TTR is no more than $1800 for 7 days. We have have a great time, but I cant see paying more than that for a 3*. Common sense starts to creep in.:xyxthumbs: Am interested to see reports from GOV.
It all depends on where you come from, apparently. They pay cheaper out of UK than we do out of Alberta!! And they are in flight like 6+ more hours A lot of the people here also dont tell you they used airmiles to boot, and just post their per night fee, and that in my opinion is a little miss leading. The reality is that if you did not have airmiles as an option your cost would be significantly higher.
April 2012 - $1780 - 8 Nights ($135/night) - Cabos Oct 2012 - $1368 - 8 nights ($44/night) - Alpharooms April 2013 - $2486 - 8-nights ($165/night) - referral Oct 2013 - $1605 - 9-nights ($90/night) - Member Special Flights from SFO vary widely - Direct on United/Virgin average about $600. We've managed $508,$583,$397 on our last 3-trips.
Just booked feb 14-22 (8 nights). Room only through alpha rooms was $1667. Unfortunately it looks like we'll spend almost that again on a flight from Chicago. $700pp direct. We could connect in Mexico City for about $450pp but that turns a 3.5 hr flight, on the beach by early afternoon travel day into a 12 hr, get in exhausted late day. And layovers on the way home from TTR are a special circle of hell.
