Going for the first time in September and looking at the rain on the live camera I was wondering what people do (beyond the obvious first choice) if rain and/or thunderstorms close the pool?

important to be friendly and interact with people right from the start and you wont be finding yourself doing nothing, just because your invited to a room doesn't mean its for sexy time, sometimes people just want to hang out with other people, as we seen 3 different rooms on our first trip and it was pre bash party, pre dinner and just over for a drink and chill, ( boys had cigars and the women were drinking all of us just hanging out) we like to always pack a deck of cards or some type of game that is easy and light for travel, but there is always sports bar with pool tables, maybe make friends head downtown Cancun to the casino you will be surprised what you can find to do when your outgoing and friendly with people.

The sports bar. Great place to mingle with people. The "cast' always finds ways to get people doing inside entertainment. Also, when it rains, we jump on the bus or taxi and head to one of the large marketplaces to do tequila tasting and do some shopping.

Both those sound great. If the people at Temptation in September are as cool and friendly as the people on this forum I’m sure it will be fun rain or shine.

It’s very rare for an entire day to be rained out, but it did happen to us one December. That day the Playmakers moved everything to the lobby bar and the activities took place there. They set up additional drink bars around the lobby too!

There was one day on our last trip that rained a lot. It was my drunkest day by far. The last I remember was drinking with a couple Brits while it was pouring down on us. I woke up in my room to my wife telling me we had 15 min til we had to be at dinner.

I guess I can't answer exactly what there is to do but I am confident you will figure something out.

They only close the pool at night. Even in storms you can stay in, however your hat and shoes may blow away ;). The sports bar and lobby start hopping in bad weather.
