When we first came back we just said Mexico, then Cancun and left it there, but now we are going back for our 2nd trip people are now asking what resort, why are you going back etc etc so now we have just told them, their faces are a picture but hey ho if they don't like it they shouldn't have asked.
I really enjoyed this thread! I love all of the different opinions about this issue! Sadly we fall into the "Have To Lie About It" category. We'll probably start telling people the truth when our little ones are grown! Until then I tell some of my closest friends that I read a really good book at Moon Palace in October and had a real nail biter game of Shuffleboard!
We always have to say RIU…. our friends question too... much and several times they ask.. if you go sometimes twice per year and it is so fun… can we go with you next time….??? We say, yes!!! …. Sure… after we leave… we say??… yeah right we are going to be taking you guys there..!! they will divorce in the first day!! lmao...
Great answer & pretty much the same as us, we've always been upfront about where we go, others can draw their own conclusions as to why & what we do.....important thing is that they're guessing:baby2:
My husband and I are coming for the first time. We have 4 boys, 1 grown and on his own, 2 in college and 1 in high school. Funny thing, we have told them we're going to a topless resort that's like Spring a Break for adults and they're like "Sure you are Mom and Dad"! Kids just don't want to think about mom and dad that way. I know our four as I said earlier stuck their fingers in their ears and did the lalalalalalalalalalalalala not listening to us when we told them. Not my issue if they can't handle it. So you guys go and have a kick ass first time and start thinking about when you want to return for the second time cause there will be a second time.
Depends on who asks us...on Facebook we have tagged ourselves as being at Temptation so most of our friends know but we don't tell the anything specific about the resort...for co-workers and some family we just say Cancun and leave it at that. Lol, good answer. We went a couple of years ago to TTR with friends who told people that they were going to the Riu, funny thing was one of their friends was there at the same time.....I can't help thinking telling the truth would have saved a lot more lies as they just got deeper into it! I guess the lesson would be to ask others first:doh:
