If your man has a cute butt, I def recommend investing in a pair of the new board shorts with stretch. Hug the butt in a very nice way without being snug, are super-comfy, and dry really fast. Hurley makes the best ones under the model name "Phantom": they have a no-velcro fly (no fun getting your junk caught on velcro, I've been told). Go to a better-quality swimwear shop to find them...cost about $70. Winners gets them in from time to time as well, at half the cost. They run by waist size like pants.

This is pretty much what I tried to wear last year. And I was stopped at the door and was told that I wasn't allowed in with "shorts" on. He said boxers, pajamas, or underwear only. At first, I thought the guy was joking, but he was serious.
