We will be following this closely...we have a small group set to go the July/August 2026 week. We found the trip we took in July 2025 to be fun and as expected, but the news about changes all happened after we left. I know our beneficiary benefits for 2026 are not nearly as good as in 2025 (much has been written about that already). Really sucks for those who had contracts with huge numbers of nights bought with the idea that they could essentially sell/share them with friends and everyone would get close to the same benefit. Having sat in on those sales meetings, they really pushed the idea of getting your numbers up and using beneficiary to offset the cost. Seems like a pretty awful bait & switch the likes of which would be a class action lawsuit in the USA, but in MX, I don't know that members will have much recourse.

Hearing that the vibe is changing as well is definitely something we will want to keep an eye on. I'm reading and hearing that the music is worse, the music is quieter, the pool games are tamer, some favorite staff are gone...it's all rumor to me at this point since I haven't experienced it for myself, but if this is true it will be a sad to see. I'm still hopeful that it's either overblown or that any new management decisions will be pretty quickly seen for what they are and reversed. We shall see.

We agree with most of the comments as we saw things change from our first membership in 2018. Our last trip was in December for the takeover so it was a step up even if we had to pay extra to be part of it. We found that part to be awesome as we spent most nights on the roof either in the pool or hot tub, which were really hot. This is what it should be like all the time!
The thing that bothered us the most is the throwing people out at 3pm on departure day. Our flights are always in the evening and it never used to be like this. Just saying for ourselves, but there’s no way we’ll get drunk before leaving as we do have to go through all the airport stuff and don’t want to be denied boarding, so it’s not like they’re going to save a lot. It’s just very annoying and it leaves a bad taste at the end of the trip.
Otherwise, they had feature DJs all week so the music was good, food was really good, new friends awesome as usual, staff excellent as usual too. Transfer was USA, so always on time and easy.
@MikeandHeather , we upgraded in 2024 after we got screwed in DR. The next step was the tower so can’t say if they pushed more for that, but they do push for meetings and upgrades every time we go and we go twice a year. So for the price of the membership, plus the increase in room rates, we think they should cut us some slack and keep the members happy ! We usually go end of March, but the increase in price made us choose 5 star cruising instead for this trip, which is costing even less.
We sure hope that things will get back to what we signed up for or better. It seems that they want to push us to Desire to be able to enjoy that little extra that we like, but Desire is ridiculously expensive and frankly, we don’t think it’s worth it.
