What do you guys suggest for identificaiton.. do you think I will need to carry my passport around the whole time? Do they even bother to card people at the clubs? If so, would my CA drivers license work?

you know, i was just wondering the same thing. i don't want to be carrying around my passport while i'm drunk at a club. that just screams disaster.

make a photocopy of your passport and license on the same sheet of paper.... just in case. carry it with you.

just leave the original in the room safe. carry the copy with you.

They don't card you at the clubs. Leave your passport locked in your room safe. I carry an ID with me though just in case. You never know if you're going to wander off drunk and get hit by a bus. Then at least they know who you are

Very sound advice there. I made a copy of my passport last time I went and put the copy in my luggage while flying. This was a tip given to me somewhere but can't remember where. This time I'm going to try and pack light enough to take all my stuff on the plane with me. But something tells me I'll be checking one bag in though.

Same here, although I always take a photocopy of my passport and ID with me when I go on holiday just in case I lose my passport or something. My Mum drilled that into my head. As far as going to the clubs in Cancun, no ID needed
