I did the whale shark tour today and was BLOWN AWAY. There were 150 to 200 sharks in the area, everywhere we turned there was a whale shark. Unbelievable experience. They were about 15 miles off Isla Mujeres, phenomenal day. I highly recommend going in the next couple of days if you can, the guide said because of the full moon the "bonito" fish are depositing eggs which the whale sharks are feeding on. There are not enough words to describe my experience today, truly a fantastic day. I actually said to the guide that it was better than sex, he hesitated for a moment and then said "Wellll, on days like today, you're probably right".
