At 3pm while the pool is full of partiers on one of busiest weekends of the year. Not the best planning
You going to be there for Halloween this year Steve? We booked 10 nights at the end of October. Looking forward to our first trip back (and we’ve never gone for Halloween!)
No sadly Halloween isn't going to really be a possibility for several years. Our son is 9 and loves Halloween. He even had big party here with all his friends last year. It wouldn't be very nice to leave during this time period. Which this point also kind of relates to our trips in general. At his age, and everything he has going with school, him being pulled out to stay with either sets of our parents isn't really cool anymore. So our trips are going to be limited to break times and the summer moving forward.
The thing that bothers me the most about all of the above posts is that the Sports Bar isn't just open all the time. It's a Great place to chill out either before or after Bash, or during the day if the weather isn't awesome.
Couple of years ago I wanted to catch an early bowl game. Cleaning crew was finishing up so doors were open and TVs were on. A few more people ambled in to catch up on the game. Since no bartender, we made ourselves at home and one lady and I took over the bar. Workers were a little surprised to see a small party when they showed up later.
Similiar experience for us. We were there during the World Series, and are big Dodger fans, so it was a great place to hangout, watch the game, and wait for Bash to get going. The game the Dodgers clinched, we went there, and nobody was working, and it was empty. The game was on, so at least we had that. Lights were off, and the air was off, so it was getting pretty warm, and the tiles slippery. I went to the desk, and they had someone come down, and swith the tv to an American broadcast, turn on the lights, and air, but that was about it. A few more people came in as well, but we didn't have the guts to go behind the counter. I went out to the Quiet Pool bar for drinks, and brought buffet food in for supper. As @Stacia_and_John said, I wish it was used more. They still had advertising up for casino night when we were there, but there wasn't one. Not sure what's up with that?
