I would be editing those last few words quick.....they could be very very very expensive words one day publicly posted. just sayin'
Curious to others' thoughts and throwin it out there. what should TTR do to fulfill the needs of vow renewal ceremonies and at what price point would ppl be comfortable payin? Build an altar? Build an archway? Hire a Romance Co-Ordinator to arrange folks' wishes?
I did that 25 years ago and you are right. Thought this trip was our anniversary present but she had other ideas.
I don't want anything extraordinary, just a simple renewal. I can't get a quote from TTR for the cost of a renewal and I am already married, so can't see paying $850+ for all the official "extra" stuff I DON"T NEED. Just a Clergy, me, my husband and a few friends to witness. More sentimental than anything. Trina
If your right my wife will have to bring allergy medication. she can't be around those kinds of smokes without having an attack. They could save money at the airport if they just paid her to stand by new arrivals. Any stuff would cause her to start tearing up and have a hard time breathing. So if your going to light up please warn us so we can make a decreed getaway.
My husband and I had a vow renewal here at home in Florida. It was just the two of us and the officiate on the beach. My suggestion is if there someone there that is willing to do the ceremony have the actual renewal vows written for them to read to you both. This what we used but ours was ten years. I had bouquet and he had a boutonniere. Since you can't bring in fresh flowers, I would just have your flowers made in silk and bring them with you. Our aviator picture is from our 10 year vow renewal ceremony. We also had a sand ceremony. We had the sand from the beach where we live for the bottom layer, blue cut glass to represent the ocean and at the top layer is the sand where had our ten year beach vow renewal ceremony. I don't know how to post pictures on the forum. If you want to send me your email address our share with you our pictures we had taken. (spouse's name), 25 years ago, I pledged my love and commitment to you, but it seems like only yesterday. I promised to love you, honor you, comfort and keep you. I pledges to be by your side in sickness and in health, in times of want, and times of plenty, for better or worse, for the rest of our lives. We have had all of those things, and you have been by my side as we created a family, a home, and a life together. Today, at the beginning of our 26th year as husband and wife, in the presence of God, and our family and friends, I renew my vows to you, pledging my eternal love for you, and eagerly awaiting what life may bring us.
that is a horrible condition....can't the doctor prescribe something? To not be able to enjoy the sweet aroma of the sacrifice would suck.
In our renewal at another resort we got hair and makeup, a flower for my wife and a minister basically. Since it was already all inclusive the dinner they provided wasn't really a bonus and the bottle of booze to celebrate was swamp water in a bottle. We did really enjoy it but bet for far less you could get flowers delivered, pay for hair and makeup and find someone to read a renewal commitment you prepared before hand.
