Congrats! I know the poster here named "mz_teedee" has "Cancun Wedding Guide" listed in her signature and profile, I'm guessing she can help you out. Good luck and happy planning!
I know there was an English girl called Gracie and her family did weddings etc. I have a feeling it might be the same person that Tracey is talking about? And Congratulations!!!
Thanks everyone....I will give her a call Tracey. Honestly, after all the long term relationships I have been in that went nowhere, I gave up on marriage thing. But here I am, and now I don't know where to begin.
ToriB - If you are marrying the right guy then it will be the happiest day of your life regardless of the wedding. So relax and make sure to do what you guys want, don't let it get too big to be manageable, it's not worth it.
ToriB, Congratulations! When I first moved to Cancun, I met a woman that has a wedding planning business. Her name is Sharon Van Bramer. Her website is still up and has been updated, since I last saw it, so I guess she's still in business. She is American, but has been living here for many years. She was very nice and seemed very professional. I was speaking with her about potential work (I'm a photographer) and didn't actually use her wedding services though. Here is the link to her site: Caribbean Cancun Wedding, get married in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen in Mexico with Caribbean Cancun Weddings Good luck and happy planning! Susan
ToriB, I just say TraceyUK's post about Petra. I forgot all about her and her wedding planning company. If I were in your shoes, I'd contact her too.
Thank you Susan. It's good to have some options. RG...I am so beyond the whole Cinderella affair, much to my mothers' horror. Hector has been previously married, so he just wants me to have a day I have always wanted. And with it being here, it will for sure be small.
I don't know, Tori, people will come to Cancun, just give them a pretext. "Oh, mom, I'm sorry, I've got to go to Cancun, next week, hope you don't mind...." "You remember Tori?" "She's getting married." "Well, OK, I'll ask her." "I don't suppose she'd mind if I bring you." "Is that dad, yelling back there?" "No, tell him he certainly cannot come, he doesn't even know Tori!" You get the picture.... _______________________ Everybody we invited showed up, some all the way from Europe, and this was at the height of the Swine Flu scare (mid May, last year).
