I do not know about the beach condition, we participate last weekend on the swimming crossing from cancun to isla Mujeres and from 120 swimmers only 1 got sea lice but they were swimming in open waters. the forcast does not look very good for the weekend but you never know. Today is cloudy with high humidity ocean changing directión to the west and no wind blowing very soft from the NW.
weather and sea lice Ana, Again thanks for all your updates. Great job on the swim - how far is that distance? Is there a way you could get informaiton if there has been any bad outbreaks of sea lice near the OMNI hotel? I would really appreciate it a lot. Re: weather and sea lice I think we all need to remember that Ana (and everyone else in Cancun) posts their updates as a favor and nice gesture. Asking them to find out specifics about outbreaks at certain resorts may be a bit much. Remember, this isn't their job. Karan
weather I didn't mean any disrespect to Ana - or anyone else in Cancun. I just thought maybe she would know someone or have a word of mouth, so on. Not that she would go and actually visit any plce specifically. I am also rather new to this site and am just trying to figure it out which can be a little confusing at times. Kathy, I didn't mean to imply that you did offend anyone and wasn't only referring to your post..sorry if it came off that way. It's just that at times I think soem of the people who post here go overboard in asking the locals to find this or that for them. While none of them every complain about it I think it is important for all of us to remember that CC is not their job and they do have lives too. Just because they live in "paradise" doesn't mean they can run around finding out things for those of us who don't. Sorry if my post came of wrong and offended you. That was never my intention. karan

I can´t see a cloud above the ocean trough my window. Ocean is wavy with that little white top here and there meanning rough. Wind is blowing med to strong from the NE and temp is hot.
This time of year they always put a possibility of scattered showers or thunderstorms in the forecast. Most of the time there isn't a drop of rain but even if there is they usually don't last too long and sun will be out in no time. Karan
